Nicholas Barnes

Co-Founder and Director

About: As one of the four Co-Founders and Directors of Salon Business Solutions, Nicholas is responsible for the everyday management of the company. He is never tired of his role, taking the ever-changing, fast-paced industry in his stride. He always has a positive mindset and believes that together, as a team, Salon Business Solutions can achieve anything.
When he’s not leading his team to great things, Nicholas enjoys indulging in great food and drinks with his nearest and dearest.

Sam Griffiths

Co-Founder and Director

About: Working alongside three of his closest friends as Co-Founder and Director, Sam oversees everything that goes into Salon Business Solutions. He prides himself on offering an unbeatable service to all customers and loves sharing the unique offering that the company has with independent UK hairdressers. Sam enjoys the pressures running a business brings - which is what makes him so good at what he does. In his downtime, Sam can be found talking all things football, including coaching under 11’s.

Fun Fact: He once played a musical instrument for the Queen.

Jo Jagger

Co-Founder and Director

About: Jo works together with the other three Co-Founders and Directors to ensure everything is running smoothly and sticking to the high standards of Salon Business Solutions. Her ‘anything is possible’ attitude is what makes the business so successful. Starting as a hairstylist herself, Jo loves being able to help salons up and down the country and providing them with quality, ethical products. In her spare time, Jo enjoys going for long, quiet walks with her family and puppy.

Fun Fact: Jo once nearly knocked over Johnny Ball!

Adam Riley

Co-Founder and Director

About: As part of the team of Co-Founders and Directors, Adam leads the team, managing the overall company. Adam’s father worked in the hairdressing industry, which meant he grew up surrounded by boxes of hair products and quickly gained a fascination. He loves expressing his creativity and encourages his team to do the same. When he’s not busy putting creative ideas into practice at Salon Business Solutions, Adam likes to ride his mountain bike and loves nothing more than a pint in the pub with friends and family.
Number One Hair Care Tip: Always tone with a purple or blue conditioner- they’ll give you a longer-lasting result.
If You Were a Hair Product, What Would You Be and Why: Nine Yards Go Loud Shampoo because he’s quite a loud person and loves feeling clean and fresh.
Fun Fact: Adam had a millionaire babysitter! The founder of Air Tours used to live next door to Adam and looked after him frequently before jetting off and selling his company for millions.

Steve Porter

Head of Sales

About: As the Head of Sales, Steve ensures that the sales team performs to their maximum potential, including defining and communicating key performance indicators and hitting targets. His niece introduced him to the industry, and he has never looked back. Steve loves working at Salon Business Solutions because he gets to work as a part of a dynamic team where everyone brings something different to the table, but together it’s a collaborative masterpiece.
Number One Hair Care Tip: Don’t sacrifice that beautiful cut and colour using supermarket hair care. Invest in high-quality, professional products recommended by your stylist, which will keep your hair in optimum health.

Amber Hopgood

Regional Sales Manager

About: As Regional Sales Manager for London and surrounding areas, Amber loves the hustle and bustle of city life, helping our clients achieve the best for their businesses in the capital. Reading Vogue and watching her mum get ready inspired her to get involved in this glamorous world, and now, Amber is thrilled to be a part of it through SBS. She loves working closely with the team, the clients and, of course, our ethical and high-quality products built for our hairdressers.

Emma Macaulay

Regional Sales Manager

About: As Regional Sales Manager for the North West, Emma brings a wealth of experience from within the hair, beauty, and luxury retail industries. She has a true passion and focus for supporting salons and stylists, helping to guide you to success in this dynamic industry. During her spare time, she loves to roller skate and was recently taught by an American Pro Skater who performed at the Super Bowl with Usher!

If You Were a Hair Product, What Would You Be and Why: O&M Know Knott because she can get you out of any tangle whilst providing you with the best strength and support.
Fun Fact: Emma knows every word to the rap song Jump Around by House of Pain. A very valuable skill!

 

Chloe McAulay

Brand Manager

About: As Salon Business Solution’s Brand Manager, Chloe is responsible for ensuring our products resonate with current and potential customers and developing strategies that increase brand loyalty. Chloe loves the fun atmosphere that working for Salon Business Solutions provides and the strong passion of the entire team. Outside of work, Chloe enjoys spending time with family and friends, shopping, and going out with the girls – but nothing can beat jetting off to somewhere sunny for a well-deserved holiday.
Number One Hair Care Tip: When shampooing, concentrate on just the scalp and root and let the lather rinse through the rest.
If You Were a Hair Product, What Would You Be and Why: Nine Yards Hand-On Texturising Spray because she’s involved in a lot of projects, she’s thorough, and she never misses a trick.
Fun Fact: Chloe can do the splits!

 

Molly Heywood 

Digital and Graphic Designer 

About: As our Digital and Graphic Designer, Molly is in charge of all the beautiful visuals you see here at SBS, making sure we stay on brand and recognisable. She’s a creative person and a haircare lover, so she fit right in with the team when she began her journey at SBS! When Molly’s not working hard on her designs, she likes to relax by taking a long bath followed by cuddles with her two mini dachshunds.
Number One Hair Care Tip: For long, thick, healthy hair, always use hair oil.
If You Were a Hair Product, What Would You Be and Why: CENTRED Tender Love and Hair Supplements. Once you get used to Molly, you won’t be able to be without her!

Helen Shipley

Head of Client Services

About: Helen is Salon Business Solutions’ Head of Client Services which means she works hard to build strong, positive relationships with the company’s clientele. Similarly to her co-workers, Helen loves the fast-paced environment of the hair and beauty industry and particularly enjoys helping clients better their businesses by being ethical and sustainable. Helen loves to wind down by spending time with her son, getting stuck in a good book, or enjoying an occasional Netflix binge.

Shamus Dar

Client Services Specialist

About: Alongside his team, Shamus works in Salon Business Solutions’ Customer Service Office as a Client Services Specialist. He enjoys his job, which includes answering customer queries, processing orders and managing enquiries to ensure each customer receives the Salon Business Solutions standard. When he’s not working hard, Shamus winds down by socialising with friends and watching football.

Fun Fact: Shamus spent a year living in Florida!

Nira Ståhlberg

Creative Director

About: As Salon Business Solutions’ Creative Director, Nira is in charge of the art direction, education, and producing creative strategies for the business. Nira likes being where the action is, which is why she fits so well into the bustling and exciting world of Salon Business Solutions. Her driven and non-stop attitude is apparent outside of work too, when she likes to keep busy cooking, going to the gym, and running around after her two kids.

If You Were a Hair Product, What Would You Be and Why: Brush 30/40 – Nira makes life easy, fun, beautiful, and creative for those she meets.
Fun Fact: She’s been a backup dancer at Eurovision!

Danielle Wright

Educator

About: As one of our Educators, Danielle delivers an array of our incredible courses, offering her expertise to our clients. With a passion to develop and learn, she’s the perfect person for motivating the team and clients alike, utilising her years of experience and getting the most out of everyone who takes advantage of SBS’s educational services. When she’s not hard at work, Danielle loves to relax with her family on days out and watch their rugby team play.

Chloe Bullimore

Educator

About: As part of the Education Team, Chloe is passionate about sharing her knowledge with salons and inspiring creativity in the industry. Starting her journey sweeping floors at her uncle’s salon, she fell in love with the art of hair and the way it allows people to express themselves. Today, she thrives on meeting new people daily and spreading her enthusiasm for haircare.

Outside of work, Chloe enjoys winding down with her dogs and a glass of Pinot, catching up with friends and enjoying life’s little moments.

Stephen McDowell

Educator

About: As Educator for Salon Business Solutions, Stephen works hard to pass on his expertise to the company’s clients, including industry professionals and salon workers. He thoroughly enjoys sharing his knowledge and working alongside passionate, like-minded individuals. Stephen believes it was inevitable that he would become a hairdresser after growing up with his hair-obsessed mother! Outside of work, Stephen likes to knit, read a good book and loves listening to and collecting vinyl records.
Number One Hair Care Tip: Listen to the professionals – they know your hair type and the best products to use at home. Aftercare treatments for coloured hair are essential.
If You Were a Hair Product, What Would You Be and Why: My new fave product has to be Nine Yards Slapdash. It delivers just the right amount of messy texture to short and medium length hair allowing you to create volume and lift, transforming your style from one look to another.
Fun Fact: Stephen is a Debbie Harris fanatic – watching Blondie on Top of The Pops when he was ten years old brought on the obsession, and now, he owns all her records and tries to see her perform whenever she’s in the UK.

Dave Swinburn

Warehouse Manager

About: As the Warehouse Manager, Dave’s responsibility is to manage his team and ensure everything is keeping up with the high standards of Salon Business Solutions. Dave thrives in a busy environment and has built fantastic multitasking skills as well as the ability to stay calm and patient when necessary. He loves the relaxed atmosphere of Salon Business Solutions and always has fun with his colleagues. In his downtime, Dave can be found enjoying some good food paired with real ale and following his wife’s instructions.

Johnny Bellusci

Warehouse Operative

About: As part of our busy warehouse team, Johnny keeps everything organised and on schedule while sticking to the high standards we’ve set as a company. He works brilliantly under pressure and really enjoys the fast-paced environment, making sure our products are in the right place and at the right time, ready to be shipped off to our wonderful clients. In his downtime, Johnny is a family man and loves spending time with his loved ones.

Barbara Baranowska Yanusz

Warehouse Operative

About: As a Warehouse Operative at Salon Business Solutions, Basia is all about keeping things organised and ensuring orders are picked and packed efficiently. Her role has given her a new perspective on teamwork and patience, which she brings to every day at work. She enjoys the camaraderie with her warehouse teammates, making each day lively and productive.

When she’s not coordinating in the warehouse, Basia loves staying active at the gym, finding her balance through exercise and a good laugh with friends.
